I studied journalism at the Ghana Institute of Journalism. After graduating with a first class in Communication, however, I ran away from telling stories. I felt it wasn't for me.
The whole ordeal of chasing stories and reporting them just didn't feel right for me at that time. But storytelling wouldn't let me go, she kept holding on to me tightly. Maybe, it's because we are meant to be.
After so long a time, I find myself telling stories again. This time to sell. This time to help brands like yours tell their story, so you can build a tribe of raving fans who willingly advertise your brand.
It was our last year in school. I was slowly coming to terms with the fact that I didn't want to practice journalism. The question, however, was, "What was I going to do with my life?"
I had no idea, but there was one thing I was certain of: I didn't want to be a statistic. I didn't want to join the already huge numbers of unemployed graduates. I decided that whatever I did, I would find a way to help reduce the whole unemployment menace. And this has always been my ultimate goal.
Right after School, I started writing & editing for authors. Before that, I had been writing stories to educate and inspire people on social media. I turned that into a paid service so I could survive.
Shortly afterwards, I fell in love with brand design and then with brand strategy.
Through my studies & exploration, it dawned on me, "I can actually fill a gap with my good writing & storytelling skills. I can actually help brands tap into their own stories as well as the experiences of their customers to communicate in a way that touches the soul."
Filling that gap and helping businesses grow is something I love to do. I believe that when businesses grows, it has a ripple effect. Business owners enjoy the fruit of their labour and the business is able to employ other people thus becoming a shade from the scorching sun of unemployment.
